MDLC Energize Denver Webinar
January 18th – 9:00 a.m.
Free for MLDC Members
Under Energize Denver, existing buildings in the City have been subject to annual benchmarking since 2016. In 2022, Denver established energy performance requirements based on the building's primary use and how the building performs today. Buildings will have to meet two interim performance targets in 2024 and 2027 or 2025 and 2027 if you completed your 2021 benchmarking. In the coming weeks, you will receive a letter from the City with your 2027 goals. Properties that have completed benchmarking, you are eligible for an Alternate Compliance Plan, which will adjust the timelines even further out giving you more time to complete the necessary electrification and energy efficiency upgrades.
To help you understand what is required by Energize Denver and how you can use the Alternate Compliance Plans to better manage your capital expenditures, the Denver Department of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency is holding a webinar for us on January 18th at 9:00 a.m. We encourage you and/or your Director of Engineering to join us for this important briefing.
